This 3D printed mounting system is designed specifically for the 46.5″ Boscoyo Studios PPD GeoWreath. Each bracket is secured to the coro with zip ties and is available to fit either 1/2″ EMT conduit or 1/2″ PVC pipe, depending on your selection. At the center junction, you can either use a 1/2″ PVC cross to connect the perpendicular conduit sections, or use a 180 Degree Structural Pipe Connector from Maker Pipe. For this higher density prop, EMT is recommended due to the increased weight of the pixels and it provides additional rigidity. This setup provides excellent stability for mounting to various surfaces and is especially useful for reinforcing props that have been split for shipping. For those who have a prop that has been slit in half for shipping, we offer optional printed backer plates to help reinforce the prop. (Details below) Colors may vary, although black is most common. If you have a specific color request for black or white please include a note indicating your preference with your order, but keep in mind that it may increase processing time for in-stock items. Includes the 3D printed parts only; conduit, PVC cross, screws, zip ties, and Maker Pipe fittings are not included.

The orientation shown of the PPD Wreath in these renderings is correct and matches the xLights model and the original concept from PPD. The orientation shown in the pics on the Boscoyo website is incorrect and when making the slit on the prop for shipping, they are slitting across a valley and not along the outer peaks of the prop. The result is that the slit is 11.25 degrees off from the horizontal axis of the prop where the mounts are correctly located and the outer mounts do not pass over the slit. We have designed a pair of backer plates that will reinforce the slit which adds strength and rigidity back into the prop. These backer plates are sold separately and are designed to work with the prop mounting system. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask us.

As with all our designs, we strive to utilize the precut zip tie hole locations for our mounts. However, these pre-made holes don’t always align perfectly for optimal mount placement, and on this prop you will need to create additional holes in the coro to secure the mounts with zip ties.

All of our 3D printed parts use PETG filament which provides good flexibility and resistance to UV exposure when used seasonally.
